Tiberium
What
is Tiberium?
Sometime in 1995 a meteor struck the earth, carrying a strange foreign
substance. Discovered by Doctor Mobious, tiberium is named after the
Tiber river in Italy where it was first found. There are now more than
200 areas of the earth affected by tiberium deposits. Tiberium appears
to be spreading by means of conveyance unknown. It seems to be adapting
to earth's terrain, foliage, and environment to suit its own alien
nature.
Tiberium continues to confound the
scientific community, soaking up ground minerals and soil nutrients like
a sponge. The end result of this unique bleaching process creates the
formation of tiberium crystals with precious metals inside, which are
available for collection with a minimum of mining expense.
Not only does tiberium leech elements
from the soil, but it appears to also leech vital nutrients from all
plant life. Human contact with tiberium is extremely toxic and often
fatal. Spores emitted by tiberium infected plants appear to be the
source of tiberium related illnesses. Exposure should be avoided.

Green: Most available. Spreads fast, very toxic.

more toxic, and is also explosive.
